Daedong Mobility Cooperates with Daegu for Future Mobility

Laying the groundwork for bolstering core technologies and business models in future mobility, Daedong Mobility collaborates with Daegu City for the Future Mobility Business.

Daegu City designated an "Anchor Company" in the mobility-specialized complex to establish an industrial state system for BSS-type e-scooters.

Daedong Mobility (CEO Won Yoo-hyun) has signed an investment agreement with Daegu City as an anchor company for the finished car sector in the "Mobility Motor Small Department (Materials, Parts, Equipment)" program. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of seven anchor companies, including Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo and Won Yoo-hyun, CEO of Daedong Mobility.

The "Small Manager Specialized Complex" is a policy initiative aimed at securing global competitiveness in the mobility motor market at the national and regional level. Daegu City aims to foster this complex as a global motor industry base by 2030, with the participation of seven anchor companies and a hundred others in materials, processing, motors, parts, modules, and finished cars.

As an anchor company in the finished car sector, Daedong plans to collaborate with Daegu City to develop future mobility technologies like Battery Swapping System (BSS) e-scooters and 0.5-ton electric trucks. They are focused on establishing a strategic business model by supplying e-scooters to various cities, gathering driving data, and developing services related to vehicle maintenance, rider safety, and convenience.

Daedong Mobility is also advancing the development of autonomous driving LSVs for passenger transportation in conjunction with domestic platform companies. They recently demonstrated autonomous driving technologies applied in LSVs at KAIST's Moonji Campus and are considering further tests in urban centers or industrial facilities.

Yu-hyun Won, CEO of Daedong Mobility, expressed their commitment to enhancing industry competitiveness and regional development in the mobility sector amid the rapid internalization of key technologies and the establishment of business models.

Additionally, Daedong Mobility is intensifying its mobility product development by internalizing core technologies such as automation, electrification, and intelligence through the Daedong-KAIST Mobility Research Center. They aim to strengthen capabilities across various aspects, including core technologies, product design, production quality, and sales services.

The investment agreement signing ceremony was attended by representatives of seven anchor companies, including CEO Yu-hyun Won, Vogue Warner (CEO Ji-won Jung), Sunglim Advanced Industries (CEO Cho Hyun-ho), Yurim Tech (CEO Cho Hyun-ho), Lee Hi AMS (CEO Chil-sun Choi), and Core Automotive (CEO Kim Won-seok).

The signing event, held at Daegu City Hall, was attended by representatives of seven anchor companies, including CEO Won Yoo-hyun of Daedong Mobility and Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo. The representatives discussed the agreement's implications for their mobility ventures.
