Daedong-Yeungnam University Medical Center signs MOU for cooperation in hospital robots and mobility

· Developing a robot and mobility system to facilitate medical services for hospital visitors while offering easy and convenient movement.
· Implementing an LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle) and Smart Robot equipped with autonomous driving and central control functionalities, ensuring safe transportation to destinations without requiring walking.
· Evaluating the creation of tailored delivery robots essential for hospitals, including those for transporting goods, medications, and meals.

Daedong-Yeungnam University Medical Center has signed an MOU for cooperation in hospital robots and mobility.

They aim to create a robot and mobility system that allows hospital visitors to receive medical services while moving conveniently and easily.

The system includes a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) and a smart robot capable of autonomous driving and central control functions, ensuring safe travel to destinations without walking.
Furthermore, they will explore developing customized delivery robots needed by hospitals for transporting goods, medications, and meals.

Daedong Mobility has commenced the development of autonomous robots and mobility solutions designed to facilitate medical services without necessitating walking within hospital premises.
The collaboration between Daedong (co-representatives Joon-sik Kim and Yu-hyun Won) and Yeungnam University Medical Center (Director Kim Jong-yeon) aims to offer more convenient mobile services to hospital visitors. The MOU signing took place at Yeungnam University Medical Center, Daegu, where officials commemorated the agreement.

Daedong Group is actively advancing the development of specialized industrial robots, including mobility, automation, and intelligent solutions. They're working on mobility options for personal use, last-mile delivery, leisure, and gardening purposes, as well as autonomous transportation robots. They've completed the demonstration of an autonomous driving LSV and organized customer experience events for a smart chair robot in partnership with Daegu Museum of Art.

Daedong's agreement with Yeungnam University Medical Center will enable the establishment of an unmanned robot and mobility system. This system will assist hospital visitors in navigating from parking lots to the building and within the premises, minimizing the need for walking. It aims to enhance visitor safety through V2X technology, ensuring real-time monitoring and immediate action in case of any issues. Daedong also plans to develop robots customized for delivering goods, medications, and meals.
Won Yoo-hyun, CEO of Daedong, highlighted their commitment to discovering and developing new smart mobility and robots. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Yeungnam University Medical Center to offer distinctive mobile services to the local community, accelerating the development of hospital robots.
